Supporting the National Museum of Computing While volunteer effort is helping us move forward at a huge rate, we do need funds to establish a world class museum.
In
particular we are looking for sponsors to donate funds for specific
projects such as networking our museum, equipping a new gallery, and
establishing a trust fund to contiue our policy of free access to the
museum.
If you can help please do not hesitate to contact us.Work this out! Our
calculator display is now almost complete. This very rich display
includes mechanical machines from the 19th Century through to todays
most advanced scientific programmable calculators. Wehave divided the
display into three sections: commerical, scientific, and programmable. Rewiring Colossus We
have just completed a major re-wiring of the power distribution cabling
on Colossus. Colossus hasn't been available for public demonstrations
during this time, but we are happy to say the machine is being almost
every day at the park. BCS at 50 One
of our milestones in the coming year is the British Computer Society
50th anniversary conference on the history of computing. The first day
of this three day conference is being held at Bletchley Park. While
the Bletchley day concentrates on the Colossus rebuild project and the
Bombe rebuild project, there will be an opportunity for delegates to
visit the museum.
